SERVICES

PR AND EVENTS
Paper Lanterns and Fairy Lights

I've organised events from 500 person pop-up dinners to special guest events such as a lunch with Yottam Ottolenghi, a launch and lunch event with Ferran Adria, and a talk and book signing with Nigella Lawson.

As Fairfax Events Brisbane Creative Director for 3 years, I was responsible for organising Good Food Month and the Night Noodle Markets in Brisbane, along with Fairfax Brisbane events such as launches.

"Natascha has been providing expert PR services and advice to me for the last 3 years in order to establish and grow a small niche market champagne festival. I have found her advice to be invaluable and her industry contacts extensive. This combination has led to very effective campaigns and resulted in successful events." FOOD TOURS
Artichoke

I've been running bespoke food tours in the verdant growing region around Brisbane for a decade.

Whether it's a one day tour of artisan producers and farmers in the local region or a food and wine tour of my favourite part of Italy, just ask.

"Guided by unique industry insights, a nose for a good story and a fervent appreciation for our providores and food producers, Natascha’s food tours are a sensory delight. From farm tours to pizza-making lessons, she serves up a flavoursome parade of very tasty morsels. An absolute must for any foodie."

WRITING
pink typewriter.jpg

I am a thorough researcher and love immersing myself in the subject at hand. I have a particular interest and experience in food and travel, but over the past two decades, I've written on everything from architecture to artichoke farming!

In addition to newspaper and magazine features, I've written copy for major hotel groups, corporate hospitality clients and tourism organisations, among others.

I enjoy brainstorming creative ideas with clients and then using my knowledge and experience to come up with exciting copy they can use for whatever purpose they require.

"Natascha is a consummate professional whose writing is elegant and engaging, whether she's critiquing the latest restaurant or describing a must-visit destination. As a journalist, she's fast, accurate and has terrific judgement. She's a great asset to The New Daily, and a valued, regular contributor."

COPY EDITING

editor.jpeg

As a professional writer since the mid 1990s, I have the experience to grasp the intent of a piece and refine it to be clean and sharp, while still retaining the writer's unique voice.

I've written my own non-fiction book and edited four editions of The Good Food Guide as well as the 2017 Australian/Pacific section of Phaidon's "Where Chefs Eat."

In 2017,  I was the QLD and NT contributing editor of the first edition of "Truth, Love and Clean Cutlery" (Ruth and Blackwell publications).

I have done recipe editing for cookbooks and online projects.

Project managing and editing books is what I love doing, so please get in touch if you'd like to discuss working with me.

"While Natascha made thorough minor changes - grammatically - she was still able to take a 10k foot view and ask bigger questions about the purpose of certain concepts in my work. I find this to be a rare combination in editors. To boot, she worked quickly and economically, and gave me ideas I never would have considered. I really enjoyed working with her and found myself looking forward to her next batch of feedback." Angela Metri, author
